Quick answers about FP, our vacancies and tools, and government hiring.
About FP
Is FP a government website?
No. FP is an independent career information platform owned by Expertist Group Inc. It is not affiliated with the Civil Service Commission or any government agency.
Does FP charge anything?
No. FP is free to use, and we never ask applicants for money. If anyone asks you to pay in FP’s name, it is not us. Report it to connect@filipinoprofessionals.com.
Can I apply for a job through FP?
No. FP explains vacancies and links to the official posting. You always apply directly to the agency, through the channel stated in its posting.
Which vacancies does FP cover?
Government positions in the Philippines in national agencies, local governments and state universities. We do not list overseas recruitment or jobs we cannot trace to an official source.
Why does FP show ads?
Ads help keep FP free. We show at most three per page, never inside our tools, and we block high-risk categories. See our Advertising and Sponsorship Disclosure.
Vacancies
How does FP check a vacancy?
A second person checks every listing against the official posting before it goes live. See How FP verifies.
Why is a vacancy marked Closed?
Its application deadline has passed, based on Philippine time. We keep closed listings for reference and show similar open vacancies.
Why is the salary on a local government vacancy lower than the national rate?
Provinces, cities and municipalities pay a percentage of the national salary schedule based on their income class, from 70% to 100%, once their sanggunian adopts it. An LGU may also pay lower uniform rates if its funds are limited. The salary stated in the posting decides. Source: DBM Local Budget Circular No. 172 (16 July 2026).
Can I apply if I have no civil service eligibility yet?
Sometimes. Some skills positions list no eligibility requirement, and an agency may issue a temporary appointment of up to 12 months when no qualified eligible applies. See No eligibility yet. Source: CSC MC No. 08, s. 2025.
Is job order or contract of service work government service?
No. Under the rules for these workers, the work is not covered by civil service law and is not creditable as government service. Workers do not receive leave, PERA or other allowances. Source: COA-DBM Joint Circular No. 2, s. 2020: contract of service and job order workers.
Salary and tools
Where do FP’s salary figures come from?
From the official salary schedules: DBM National Budget Circular No. 601 for national agencies, Executive Order No. 64, s. 2024 for 2027, and DBM Local Budget Circular No. 172 for local governments.
Is the 2027 salary already official?
For national government, yes: the fourth tranche of Executive Order No. 64 takes effect on 1 January 2027. For local governments, DBM issues a separate circular; until it does, our tools show 2027 local rates as FP’s own calculation and label them as such. Source: Executive Order No. 64, s. 2024 (text on Lawphil).
Do FP’s tools save my answers?
No. The tools run entirely in your browser. What you enter is not sent to us or stored, and it disappears when you leave the page.
Eligibility and exams
What is the difference between Professional and Sub-professional eligibility?
Passing the Career Service Examination at Professional level gives a second-level eligibility; passing at Sub-professional level gives a first-level eligibility. See Professional vs Sub-professional. Source: CSC Examination Announcement No. 03, s. 2026.
I passed the exam. How do I get my certificate?
The Civil Service Commission releases certificates of eligibility through the Regional or Field Office where you took the exam, as set out in the results advisory for your exam date. For the 9 August 2026 exam, see CSC Examination Advisory No. 17, s. 2026.
When is the next Career Service Exam?
The Civil Service Commission announces exam dates and filing periods on its website. Our sister site, Board Passers Portal, tracks schedules and results.
